Sandstone is porous, so it can still absorb stains if left uncleaned for a period of time, so sealing can be done to make it easier to clean.

Do I Need To Seal Rippon Buff Indian Sandstone?

Not necessarily. If you are worried about staining, it can be a good idea. But this natural stone doesn't need sealing to protect it.

The stone ages very well and dirt and grime are very easy to clean off with warm water and soap.

However, if you like the gloss/wet look, then a couple of coats of colour enhancing sealer will really make the stone pop.
