Limestone Hearths

Sealing is strongly recommended because limestone is naturally porous. Protective sealing helps prevent scratching and staining and makes cleaning much easier.

Use a soft cloth or brush and a pH-neutral stone cleaner (mild washing-up liquid works). Avoid acidic products, bleach or wire brushes, which can etch the surface. Wipe spills quickly, dust weekly and deep-clean with a poultice for stubborn soot or wine marks. Protect from prolonged direct sunlight to minimise fading.

Yes. Limestone is classed as a non-combustible material, so it’s suitable for all three appliance types.

Like all natural stone, black limestone can mellow slightly, especially in bright south-facing rooms. Regular sealing and keeping blinds closed during peak UV will preserve its deep colour. If it does lighten, a colour-enhancing sealer can revive the tone.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us immediately. We’ll require photos of the damaged items and packaging to process your claim. Once we’ve reviewed the images, we’ll arrange for a replacement or refund, depending on the situation.

We recommend keeping all original packaging until the issue is resolved, as this may be needed for return shipping.

Yes, you can return an order, provided it meets our return policy. Items must be in their original condition and packaging. Returns are typically accepted within 30 days of receiving the order. Please note that certain products may have specific return conditions and we can only accept returns on Full Orders ONLY and Part order returns are not accepted
