What are porcelain edging planks used for?

Porcelain edging planks are primarily used to edge patios, create garden borders, and define different zones in an outdoor space. They're ideal for giving paved areas a clean, professional finish and are commonly used in modern garden designs.

Can porcelain edging planks be used as paving slabs?

Yes, this is possible! But we wouldn't recommend using edging planks as your primary patio area choice. They are designed to take the same foot traffic as larger paving slabs, but the dimensions are better suited to framing, bordering, or separating outdoor features. However, if you have a particularly keen eye for design and have a precise project in mind, there is no reason not to go for it. They are up to the job.

What sizes are available in your porcelain edging planks?

We offer two standard sizes:

  • 90cm x 20cm
  • 100cm x 16cm

Both are 20mm thick and made from the same outdoor-grade porcelain as our paving slabs.

Can porcelain edging planks be cut to a specific size?

Yes. All our porcelain edging planks can be cut down to any required size. This makes them ideal for tricky spaces or unique garden layouts. With a high-quality, continuous diamond blade and plenty of water, they will cut nicely.

Are porcelain edging planks weatherproof?

Absolutely. Our porcelain edging products are fully vitrified, making them resistant to frost, UV rays, rain, and temperature fluctuations. They’re ideal for year-round outdoor use.

Are porcelain edging planks slippery when wet?

Our edging planks are made from slip-resistant outdoor porcelain, similar to our patio slabs. This ensures they remain safe to walk alongside, even in wet weather.

How do I clean and maintain porcelain edging planks?

Porcelain is extremely low-maintenance. Simply use a pressure washer or a bucket of soapy water for cleaning. No sealing is required, and the planks won’t fade or stain easily.

What colours do the edging planks come in?

We currently offer three colour options, chosen to complement the most popular paving colours. These work well with both porcelain and natural stone patios.

Do you deliver porcelain edging planks nationwide?

Yes, we offer fast nationwide delivery across the UK. Most orders arrive within 3–5 working days, but next-day delivery is also available at checkout. All orders over £750 are delivered free of charge to any UK mainland address.

Is there a minimum order for delivery?

There’s no minimum order, but we offer free delivery on orders over £750, which often makes sense for larger garden or patio projects.

Can I collect porcelain edging planks instead of having them delivered?

Yes - customers are welcome to collect their order from our Peterborough-based showroom if preferred.

Are porcelain edging planks supply-only?

Yes, all our products are supply only. We do not currently offer installation services, but the products are DIY-friendly and suitable for landscapers or self-builders. If attempting a DIY project without prior experience, we would recommend extensive research and preparation, and reaching out to a professional or manufacturer if unsure of anything.
