200mm porcelain coping stones offer a neat, well-proportioned width that suits most garden and boundary walls. Made from durable, low-maintenance porcelain, they provide excellent resistance to staining, fading and weathering. The square-edge profile gives a precise, modern line, making them ideal for retaining walls, raised planters and contemporary landscaping layouts. Their consistent colour and smooth finish pair easily with porcelain paving for a coordinated look. Practical, long-lasting and easy to clean, these 200mm porcelain copings are a reliable choice for anyone wanting a sharp, modern wall top with minimal upkeep.

FAQs

What are wall coping stones used for?

Coping stones sit on top of a wall to give it a neat, finished look and protect the brickwork or stonework underneath. Without them, rain soaks into the wall and causes damage over time. They're commonly used on garden walls, boundary walls, parapet walls, raised beds, planters and entrance pillars - basically anywhere you've got an exposed wall top that needs capping off. They also come in different edge profiles, so they can suit anything from a traditional garden to a modern build.

What's the difference between dressed, bullnose and square edge coping

Dressed edge coping stones have a hand-cut, textured finish that gives a traditional, rustic look - these are natural stone options. Bullnose coping stones have smooth, rounded edges for a softer, more modern feel and are available in natural stone. Square edge copings have clean, sharp lines and come in our porcelain range, suiting contemporary designs. The right choice mostly comes down to the style you're going for and the material you prefer.

What sizes do your coping stones come in?

Our coping stones are available in a range of widths to suit different wall thicknesses.

Natural stone (dressed edge):

  • Widths: 150mm, 300mm, 400mm, 450mm
  • Lengths: 600mm, 900mm
  • Thicknesses: 20mm, 30mm, 50mm

Natural stone (bullnose):

  • Widths: 150mm, 275mm, 300mm, 350mm, 400mm, 450mm
  • Lengths: 600mm, 900mm, 1200mm
  • Thickness: 30mm

Porcelain (square edge):

  • 400mm x 200mm x 50mm
  • 600mm x 400mm x 50mm

Not every size is available in every stone, so check the individual product pages for exact options. If you're not sure which width you need, measure the top of your wall and allow for a slight overhang on each side - most people go about 25–40mm wider than the wall itself.

Are coping stones suitable for pillars and gateposts?

Yes. Our wall coping stones can also be used to cap decorative piers, pillars, or gateposts, providing a cohesive and weatherproof finish across your garden features.

Can I mix coping stones with porcelain or stone paving?

Absolutely. Our coping stones are designed to complement both porcelain and natural stone paving slabs, ensuring a seamless, professional finish.

How do you lay coping stones on a wall?

Whether you’re a landscaper or a confident DIYer, coping stones are relatively straightforward to install using a solid bed of mortar and appropriate adhesive for the material. Read our coping stone installation guide for more information.
