600mm steps are one of the most popular sizes for outdoor layouts, giving enough width for comfortable footing without taking up too much space. Available in a range of stone and porcelain options, they fit well in garden access points, raised patios and smaller pathways where a tidy, balanced step is needed. The compact width also makes installation straightforward, whether you’re working on a single entrance step or a multi-level design. Durable, low-maintenance and suited to most paving styles, 600mm steps are a dependable choice for landscapers, builders and homeowners looking for a versatile, space-efficient option.

FAQs

Why are 600mm steps only available in rustic dressed?

Bullnose steps are cut from thinner slabs and the 600mm width isn't wide enough to give a comfortable, safe tread in that style. Rustic dressed steps are thicker and better suited to the narrower width. If you need a bullnose step, the smallest width available is 900mm.

What depths and thicknesses are available at 600mm?

Kandla Grey and Raj Green are available at 600mm in 300mm deep x 50mm thick, or 250mm deep x 80–100mm thick. Kota Black is available at 600mm in 300mm deep x 50mm thick only. Check the individual listings for the full size range.

Are 600mm steps wide enough?

600mm gives a comfortable single-person width and works well for garden access points, side paths and smaller entrances. For wider areas or a more generous look, 900mm or 1200mm steps may suit better.

Do you supply matching risers?

No, we don't supply matching risers. Most customers use brick, block, or their existing walling material to build up the risers beneath each tread.

Can the steps be cut to a bespoke size?

No, we only supply steps in standard widths. If you need a specific custom dimension, we'd recommend sourcing from a local stone mason.
