Porcelain bullnose steps are a great option if you’re after a smart, low-maintenance finish that stays looking sharp throughout the year. Made from durable porcelain, they offer excellent slip resistance, colour consistency and weather resistance, making them ideal for patios, garden steps and outdoor seating areas. The rounded bullnose edge creates a neat, comfortable tread and ties in perfectly with matching porcelain slabs. Unlike natural stone, porcelain doesn’t fade or require sealing, so it’s a reliable choice for homeowners, landscapers and builders who want long-lasting steps with minimal upkeep.

FAQs

What sizes do your porcelain bullnose steps come in?

Our porcelain bullnose steps are available in 900mm and 1200mm widths. Depths vary by product - options include 195mm, 400mm, and 600mm. All are 20mm thick. Check the individual listing for the full-size options available for each colour.

Can the side edges be bullnosed too?

No - the bullnose profile runs along the front face only. The side edges are sawn and left square.

Do the steps have a drip groove?

No, our steps don't feature a drip groove. On bullnose steps, the rounded front edge helps water run off naturally. On rustic dressed steps, the hand-cut face and natural texture of the stone handle drainage in a similar way.

Do you supply matching risers?

No, we don't supply matching risers. Most customers use brick, block, or their existing walling material to build up the risers beneath each tread.

Can the steps be cut to a bespoke size?

No, we only supply steps in standard widths. If you need a specific custom dimension, we'd recommend sourcing from a local stone mason.
