Protective sealing included in the packages means that your hearth will be treated with a sealant to help protect it from stains, moisture, and everyday wear and tear, ensuring durability and longevity.

Square Sawn – This edge is cut clean and straight at a 90-degree angle, giving a sharp, modern, and precise look. It is the most minimalistic option.

Subtle Eased – This edge has a very slight rounding or softening of the sharp edges, making it less harsh while still maintaining a clean and contemporary appearance.

Bevelled – This edge features a small angled cut along the top, creating a subtle chamfered effect. It adds a refined touch and can catch light nicely for a more decorative look.

Half Bullnosed – This edge has a smooth, rounded top that transitions into a flat bottom, giving a softer appearance. It provides a comfortable, elegant finish.

The main difference between each package is the size. As you move up the packages, the maximum allowable size for your hearth increases, giving you more flexibility for larger installations.

A drawing is not required to complete the checkout process, but we will need one at some point to ensure we have all the details correct. If you have a sketch or drawing, it will help us better understand your vision and make sure everything is as you want it. If you don’t have one, no problem! We can finalize the details after your order is placed.

A box and lip is an optional feature for your hearth that raises the surface of the hearth above its actual thickness, providing both a functional and aesthetic benefit.

• The Box: This is a raised section around the edges of the hearth, which creates a slightly elevated lip. It’s essentially a frame that adds height to the hearth, making it stand out more and ensuring it sits higher than the floor.
• The Lip: The lip is the overhanging edge that extends slightly beyond the box, typically around the perimeter of the hearth. It can provide a more finished look and create a cleaner, more defined boundary between the hearth and the surrounding floor.
