How To Lay Your Stone Circle Paving Kit
Whatever style of round patio you have chosen, there are a few things you will need to lay it. You should always start with a full bed of mortar. This will allow for varying thicknesses of stone circle paving to be laid. It’s important to take care with mortar though. Wet mortar can burn your skin so make sure you wear the correct clothing to protect yourself.
You’ll need a simple tool kit for laying your stone paving circle kit too. This should include a couple of trowels for pointing. You’ll also need a string building line and a long spirit level so you can make sure the slabs are laid evenly. A rubber mallet, some digging tools and a mixer for the mortar will all be useful for tools for your circular patio kit too.

Positioning The Stone Circle Paving
Take a chair and place it where you think your stone circle paving will go. See how it feels at different times of the day. Look at where the sun is and how this affects the chair in your desired round patio area.
It’s important to think about seasonal changes, shade and weather too. You want to be able to enjoy your paving circle as much as possible, so make sure your chosen location works well for the majority of the time.

Laying The Stone Circle Paving
For a circular patio it is best to start in the centre and then work outwards. This way you will be able to ensure the stone circle paving fits neatly and there will be no glaring gaps in the centre of the round patio.
The mortar needs to be spread at a depth of between 30mm and 40mm, but more is often better. You need to cover the area required for each slab. Once the mortar is laid place the Indian stone circle paving slab on top and tap it into place with a rubber mallet. You will need to leave a gap of around 15mm between each Indian sandstone circle paving slab.
Make sure you use the spirit level and building line at this stage. It will help ensure that everything is level. Check that you have a fall of 25mm over 2m as this will allow rainwater to drain off your circular patio area. As you lay the stone circle paving, make sure you keep checking the levels with your spirit level.
Once the circular patio kit is laid make sure it is not walked on for overnight and for at least 24 hours. The mortar will not have fully set so any excess weight or footfall on the round patio could force it to become unlevel.

Pointing The Stone Circle Paving
This is the last part of the process before you get a stunning Indian sandstone circle completed in your garden. The traditional method involves using a damp joining mortar, where you need to simply trowel the mixture into the joints. As you put the mortar in the joints gentle press it in and smooth it down as you go. Alternatively, this can be done with a brush in compound such as Joint-IT.
You will need to be careful that you do not get any mortar on the surface of the slabs, make sure you scrape off any excess mortar quickly too. Then sit back and leave it to harden overnight – then you and your family can enjoy your stunning new Indian stone circle patio area.
